Job Title: Trainer
Directorate: Human Resources
Reports to: Training Manager
Location: Lingfield, Surrey
Hours of Work: 24 hours per week
All Year: Term Time Only
Salary: £29,019 - £34,216 per annum (Full-time salary)
Closing Date: 2nd April 2026
About The Role
You’ll play a key part in coordinating and delivering mandatory training across St Piers, helping ensure our staff have the skills and confidence they need to support children and young people safely and effectively. Your work will span planning, scheduling and maintaining training records, preparing materials and rooms, and supporting the Training Manager with the smooth running of the annual training plan.
You’ll deliver a range of core mandatory sessions — including First Aid, Moving and Positioning People and Fire Safety — and make sure all training content is accurate, up to date and aligned with current legislation. You’ll also help set up induction training, liaise with subject specialists, and follow up with managers and staff when training needs refreshing.
This is a role where organisation, communication and a calm, supportive approach make a real difference to the quality of learning across campus.
About You
You will need to bring experience of developing and delivering training, ideally in a similar environment, and be confident when presenting to groups. You’ll be organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing schedules, systems and training records. Strong IT skills are essential, along with the ability to create reports, use spreadsheets and communicate clearly in writing and in person.
You’ll thrive here if you’re approachable, resilient and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll stay calm under pressure, adapt well to changing priorities and take pride in delivering high‑quality learning experiences. A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent) is required, and experience or qualifications in areas such as First Aid, Fire Safety or Moving and Positioning People is essential.
